Romey Louangvilay is a skilled social media and public relations strategist and currently serves as the Head of Communications for ELMNTL, a full-service marketing and creative agency.
A natural wanderer since childhood, Romey has spent most of his career in tourism marketing, working on some of the world’s most desired destinations. His love for travel piqued his initial curiosity on why the world he saw did not look like the world in magazines, TV, and social media, leading Romey to fight for more representation in castings for campaigns and the people working behind the scenes.
As part of his commitment to diversity and equality, Romey collaborated with Travel Unity, a non-profit focused on raising equity for diverse travelers, to create the official DEI standards for visitation and destinations. This work was featured in USA Today, Travel Pulse, and several other publications.
Having honed his digital marketing skills at agencies such as BORN Group, and PR agency, Syndicate Media Group, Hill+Knowlton Strategies, Havas, and Ogilvy PR, Romey earned a spot as a finalist in Forbes’ 2016 Top 30 Under 30 in Marketing & Advertising.
