Mark Keiser serves as the President, Development for Viceroy Hotel Group. In this pivotal role, he spearheads the global expansion initiatives for both the Viceroy Hotel and Viceroy Residences brands, targeting prime urban markets and coveted resort destinations worldwide.
Prior to his tenure at Viceroy, Mark held the position of President and Chief Development Officer at EOS Hospitality, where he successfully established and cultivated the third-party management vertical for EOS Investors / EOS Hospitality. His journey also includes a significant role as the Chief Development Officer at SH Hotels & Resorts from 2015 to 2021, a defining period for all SH brands. During his tenure, Mark orchestrated the remarkable growth of renowned brands such as Baccarat Hotels, 1 Hotels, and Treehouse Hotels, overseeing the expansion from 4 hotels in the pipeline in 2015 to 9 operational hotels and 23 additional projects in the pipeline by 2021.
Mark’s career trajectory further includes over a decade of valuable contributions to Starwood Hotels, where he held various leadership positions. Notably, he led the managed and franchised development efforts across nine brands in the western United States. His expertise extended to directing luxury development initiatives spanning the US, Canada, and the Caribbean, as well as overseeing real estate investment activities along the East Coast and in the Caribbean.
With a robust foundation in the hospitality sector, Mark’s professional journey began with roles at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., Wyndham International, and Prime Hospitality, fostering a diverse and comprehensive understanding of the industry landscape.
Mark attended Cornell University and holds a BS in Hotel Administration. He remains actively engaged in the hospitality community as a former member of Cornell’s Young Alumni Dean’s Advisory Board. A real estate enthusiast with a passion for philanthropy and innovation, Mark is a member of the Hotel Development Council of the Urban Land Institute. Additionally, he currently serves as a Board Member of Common Energy, a pioneering force in the community solar industry.
