Heather Turner is Chief Executive Officer of Tamarack Capital Partners, where she leads all aspects of the firm and chairs the investment committee. Tamarack is a privately held real estate investment firm engaged in the acquisition, development, and management of hospitality and commercial real estate assets. The firm is currently invested in a portfolio of eleven full-service hotels and resorts with over 3,450 keys.
Ms. Turner has been involved in several billion dollars of real estate transactions throughout her career. Prior to founding Tamarack, she was one of three managing partners of DiNapoli Capital Partners where she led the hotel and senior housing platforms. Previously, she led Maritz Wolff & Co. and Broadreach Capital Partners’ west coast hotel investments and asset management. While at Maritz Wolff, the firm was the largest owner of Four Seasons hotels in the U.S. and in addition to real estate holdings, owned 50% of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and Fairmont Hotel management companies. Heather began her real estate career managing assets and development for The Walt Disney Company’s theme park and hotel division. Prior to that, she worked for Goldman Sachs and the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ms. Turner is active in professional and educational organizations. She is a member of the American Hotel Lodging Association’s Investment Roundtable and theAngeleno Gold chapter of YPO. She is a former member of ULI and its Hotel Development Council. She is a past president and board member of the Hospitality Asset Managers Association, and a past member of the National Board of Directors of the Florida State University Alumni Association. Ms. Turner is a Trustee on the Board of PS1 Pluralistic School in Santa Monica. She has been a repeat guest lecturer on real estate investments at Santa Clara University, Florida State University, and the Anderson Graduate School of Business at UCLA.
Heather lives in Los Angeles California with her husband and daughter, who hopes to be an entrepreneur when she grows up.
Ms. Turner earned a BS, magna cum laude, in international business from Florida State University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
