David is a Philadelphia-based hospitality and real estate executive with 25 years of experience spanning hotels, leisure, fitness and real estate. Inspired by his world travels and passion for fitness, David founded Fitler Club, a first of its kind private lifestyle club to combine world-class entertainment, social, wellness, hotel and business offerings under one roof. Following on Fitler Club’s successful launch in 2019, David and partner Amanda Potter founded Good City Studio – a design, development and business advisory practice focusing on lifestyle, membership and wellness concepts.
David’s career began at Goldman Sachs, where he spent ten years focused on advisory, finance and private equity investment in hotels, gaming and leisure. David then went on to run Morgan Stanley’s hospitality advisory business followed by two years with Lubert Adler Partners overseeing hotel investment and asset management.
In late 2012, David was recruited by Equinox Fitness and the Related Companies to oversee the development of a new luxury lifestyle hotel concept now known as Equinox Hotels. As Related’s Managing Director of Hospitality and the co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of the Equinox Hotels venture, David was the key person responsible for all aspects of the development of this new company – from creating the brand vision and writing the business plan, to sourcing and executing agreements for six ground-up hotels, to programming, branding, design and operations.
David graduated cum laude from Princeton University with a degree in economics. He resides in Center City Philadelphia and is an avid triathlete, marathon runner and former collegiate tennis player.
