ILC is partnering with The Opportunity Network to provide young people from underrepresented communities with connections to the hospitality industry at large. Our goal is to serve as an active platform for students to find internship programs in boutique hotels, food & beverage, design, travel, and everything hospitality. We believe in the importance of creating a diversified next-generation of hospitality.
The Opportunity Network envisions a nation connected through vibrant communities and networks actively in pursuit of social justice and educational equity – a nation where all young people can freely create their own path to enduring success that honors their passions, ambitions, and full identities.
OppNet Fellows hold paid internships over five summers, from 11th grade to their college years. They leave the program with high-quality, resume-worthy work experience and an extraordinary early network of influential people across a broad spectrum of industries. Students engage in internships at Fortune 500 companies, PR firms, venture capital firms, consulting companies, fashion houses, political campaigns, film companies, theaters, nonprofit organizations, and more.
90% of OppNet interns earn ratings of 4 or 5 (on a 5-point scale) on internship performance evaluations.
