Nell Merlino is an award winning activist and advocate for women and girls. A catalyst for progress, she mobilized millions of people to recognize girls’ potential with the creation of Take Our Daughters to Work Day. She launched Count Me In for Women’s Economic Independence to inspire women’s economic empowerment in 2000. With Senator Hillary Clinton’s support in 2006, Nell launched the Make Mine a Million $ Business program helping women grow micro businesses to million $ companies. Nell served as a Pathways Envoy for the U.S. State Department promoting women’s entrepreneurship across Central America and served on the development committee for the Walmart Women’s Economic Empowerment program. She served on the Jury for the Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards from 2010 -2017. Nell has provided commentary on every major news outlet in the U.S. and has generated over 2 billion media mentions focused on the progress of women and girls. Currently, Nell is creating the next phase of The Female Lead campaign for launch in the UK and US in 2018.
