A media entrepreneur and innovator, Marc Lotenberg is currently CEO of Surface Media. Lotenberg acquired Surface magazine in 2012 and took over as CEO. He successfully refreshed the brand and magazine within the first year, and has grown it into a profitable multichannel media company. He also oversaw its first licensing partnership in 2015 with the launch of SurfaceHotels.com. In 2017 and 2013, Surface Media was included in Inc.’s list of fastest-growing companies. Previously, Lotenberg launched 944 magazine and later revived Gen Art, a platform for emerging talent in fashion, film, and entertainment. In 2008, Inc. named Lotenberg on its “30 Under 30” list. He is a graduate of Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business.
