Stephen Chan is the co-founder and a lead principal in Eagle Point Hotel Partners (“EPHP”), a hotel real estate platform created in 2011 to transact value-add investments in the hotel sector.
Since the founding of his company he and his partner Erik Warner have placed over $600mm of equity in 17 investments that range from the off-the-grid 24-key wellbeing and educational experience Lumeria Maui, to the award winning Calistoga Motor Lodge & Spa, to the Waikiki phenomenon and award winning Surfjack to the management platform Aqua-Aston as well as larger investments like the creation and development of the Arlo Hotels in Soho and Nomad in New York City, the award nominated Anvil Hotel in Jackson, Wyoming as well as the Soundview Greenport.
Stephen is also a partner and vice-chairman of the Independent lodging Congress. Stephen is also partner into the management company arena with Sightline Hospitality which is a new type of hotel operator designed to manage hotels better than typical operators as the platform is owned by hotel owners.
Stephen was previously with HEI Hotels & Resorts, one of the nation’s fastest growing private hotel owner/operators, where he was directly involved in the acquisition, development and sale of over $2.0 billion of hotel real estate.
Prior to HEI, Stephen was an asset manager of a $1.5 billion portfolio of full-service and luxury hotels at SCS Advisors on behalf of Walton Street Capital and JMB Realty.
