Born and raised in Manhattan, John Seymour grew up working alongside his father in an Irish Pub. A busser, server and eventually a bartender, John spent 7 years behind the bar in the NYC nightlife scene. In 2007 John ventured out with his wife to open the popular burger joint Pop’s. Sweet Chick opened its first location on Bedford Ave in 2013 and the success warranted opening a second location in Manhattan’s Lower East Side a year and a half later. When he isn’t on the block, you can find John cooking Sweet Chick’s classic dishes on National TV networks or at his Williamsburg home with his wife and three daughters.
