John Meadow is the founder and president of LDV Hospitality. Focused on concept and business development, John drives the creative process for the company, envisioning restaurants and bringing them to life, as well as forging new partnerships with hotel developers & celebrity chefs alike.
John launched LDV Hospitality in 2008 and today, the LDV portfolio boasts a range of concepts and a total of 29 restaurants, coffee bars, lounges, and event venues from the critically acclaimed American Cut, Scarpetta, and Dolce to the casual yet elegant indulgence of Corso Coffee bars. Whether fine dining or indulgent nightlife, the passion and philosophy of LDV is to take inspiration from the iconic classics of Old World hospitality cultures and adopt them to our modern social life, offering charming and genuine experiences to our guests.
Prior to creating LDV, John began his career as a manager at the Oak Room and then Beverage Director at New York City’s Plaza Hotel. John is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and remains very active in the alumni network, serving as the school’s official Entrepreneur-in-Residence, as well as hosting and participating in a variety of classes, panels and events for the school throughout the year. Additionally, John is a director on the Board of the NYC Hospitality Alliance and an active member of the NYC Food Service Industry Partnership Advisory Council (NY SBS). In 2016, he received the “Next Generation” Award from the New York City Hospitality Alliance. John has been featured in such publications as The New York Times, Bloomberg Business, Crain’s New York Business, The Wall Street Journal, GOTHAM, Manhattan Magazine, Paper, Forbes, and more. He currently lives in New York City with his wife Karin and their two daughters.
