Jim Shreve is the President & CEO of Baccarat North America. Jim has been modernizing the 255 year old French crystal brand through innovative partnerships while maintaining the brands DNA. His approach has been unconventional and has been well received by his business partners. The retail footprint has expanded under his leadership with a new boutique in Houston and a soon to open Baccarat Bbar + Café + Boutique in Miami Design District. Since joining Baccarat, sales have grown each year under his leadership. Much of this growth, Shreve attributes to the action of using your crystal everyday for every occasion #everdaybaccarat.
Prior to joining Baccarat, Mr. Shreve served as VP, Head of Global Product Merchandising at Diesel. Based in Italy, he led Diesel’s merchandise teams to create a cohesive global merchandising strategy to ensure global product consistency in all Diesel boutiques for Diesel, Diesel Black Gold and Diesel Kids.
Before his 5 year tenure at Diesel, Shreve worked in the South of France with Nice based, Façonnable, where he oversaw buying, merchandising, planning and product development for the European boutiques.
He also spent 13 years with Gap Inc in several roles, ending his career there as Sr. Director, Merchandise Planning for Gap Body Worldwide. He was an active part of the team that transformed Banana Republic to a modern sportswear company from a safari inspired company. In Gap International, he also oversaw Merchandise Planning for Gap Kids Division.
During college, Mr. Shreve started his retail career at Nordstrom, opening several new stores in Northern California and embracing personal clienteling and strong customer service.
Today, Mr. Shreve is an active member of Gods Love We Deliver, a New York based not for profit that cooks and home-delivers medically tailored meals for people living with severe illness. He is an active member of National YoungArts Foundation that identifies and nurtures the most accomplished young artists in the visual, literary, design and performing arts, and assists them at critical junctures in their educational and professional development. Shreve is also a member of the advisory board of The Luxury Education Foundation at Columbia University.
