Alexander Mirza is the Founder and CEO of HospitalitySoul.com, whose mission of is to address talent in the hospitality through data sciences and artificial intelligence.
Mirza has over 25 years of experience including senior roles in hospitality brands, as a management consultant and entrepreneur. As a management consultant, he led scientists in Shell’s Gamechanger Program and generated $3B of new businesses addressing climate change. He also advised heads of state and the Davos World Economic Forum.
After consulting, Mirza joined Starwood, as Head of Strategic Planning, reporting to the CEO and the CFO. While at Starwood he led high profile projects including corporate strategy for the board of directors. He was subsequently SVP of Corporate Development at Hilton, where he was a member of the senior operating team. At Hilton, he oversaw the food and beverage business and launched Waldorf Astoria and LVMH spas brands. Mirza subsequently served as SVP of Hospitality at Caesars Entertainment. At Caesars, Mirza worked on customer loyalty marketing and non-gaming ventures including boutique hotels and restaurants.
In 2012, Mirza founded Cachet Hospitality in Shanghai. Under his leadership as CEO, Cachet opened several properties in China and North America, was recognized as “Asia’s up and coming management team” and received design awards.
Mirza has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in international relations from Queen’s University, Canada where he was an Aga Khan Foundation Scholar. He has been recognized as Canada’s “Top 40 under 40,” and been awarded Toronto’s Mayor Volunteer Creed.
