President & Chief Revenue Officer
Allyn Magrino is a co-founder of the Manhattan-based PR agency Magrino, and has been a principal since its inception in 1992. As President and Chief Revenue Officer, she brings more than 25 years of public relations experience, from media relations to developing strategic alliances for clients, and her international experience and French language skills serve the agency’s global client base well.
Allyn works closely with company Chairman and CEO (and sister) Susan Magrino on the agency’s management, direction and fiscal growth, concentrating her efforts on client management and new business development across all of the agency’s divisions.
In addition to serving as President and CRO, Allyn heads up the agency’s travel and real estate practice, and offers strategic guidance across the client portfolio, actively engaging with clients and the media on their behalf. Allyn and Magrino have overseen the launches of several hotel brands and properties over the past 20 years, including: W Hotels; One & Only Resorts; Canopy by Hilton; The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas; the Fontainebleau Miami Beach; The Ranch Malibu; the Plaza Hotel; Sandy Lane; the London NYC and the London West Hollywood; the Loews Regency; Hilton Paris Opera; the Duniway; The Estate Yountille; The Cove Atlantis, and Island Outpost, to name a few. Other hospitality properties and brands Allyn has overseen at Magrino include: Waldorf Astoria Hotels; Conrad Hotels; Grace Bay Resorts; The Rittenhouse; Dorado Beach; Boca Raton Resort & Club; the El San Juan; Virgin Atlantic; The Montalembert; The Highland Dallas; Hyatt Regency New Orleans; Auberge du Jeu de Paume; Trianon Palace and many others.
Allyn’s creativity, versatility and ability to strategically change direction whenever necessary is a key element in the agency’s ability to accommodate the specific requirements of every one of the agency’s clients. Her understanding and knowledge of clients’ industries and the key players within them, from hospitality to fashion to food to luxury goods, affords her the ability to develop creative and effective strategies that get results for clients.
Prior to starting Magrino with her sister, Allyn was an account executive with the Clement-Petrocik Company, handling public relations for the French West Indies. She previously worked in corporate communications for Donald Trump and Robert Maxwell, and in the Paris office of the law firm Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in French with a concentration in art history from Trinity College in Connecticut. Allyn serves on the Women’s Leadership Council for Trinity College, and is member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.). Allyn is married to Per Holmberg and they live in New Canaan, CT with their two children Maximilian and Annika.
