In 2011, Jordan founded Stay Alfred after identifying an opportunity in alternative accommodations when home sharing began to take off. In eight short years, he has grown Stay Alfred into the nation’s largest travel apartment operator with more than 2,000 units in 32 U.S. cities.
Stay Alfred allows guests to live like locals in upscale, urban travel apartments with more space and better amenities than cramped cookie-cutter hotel rooms. Stay Alfred received $47M in series B venture capital funding in October 2018 to continue national expansion and has made the “Fastest Growing 500 Companies” by Inc. Magazine for three consecutive years. Much of Stay Alfred’s success can be credited to Jordan’s itch to innovate in everything the company tackles from guest experience, to operations and technology.
Prior to founding Stay Alfred, Jordan was an airborne ranger and captain in the United States Army serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Jordan is the recipient of Combat Action Badge for Outstanding Leadership after his troop was struck by a roadside bomb and was awarded a bronze star for his service in Iraq.
Jordan attended Portland State University where he played defensive end for the Vikings and majored in business administration. In his free time, Jordan enjoys playing racquetball with his wife and teaching his young kids, Sofie, Stella and Brody, to be “army tough.”
