The INDIE Awards recognize independent hospitality enterprises and shares their achievements.

This is an opportunity to celebrate hotels and professionals who have created a path to success through innovation, a sense of place, and a spirit to serve.

Nominees will be judged by ILC Leadership and four finalists in each category will be announced mid-July. From there, the public will vote for the winners who will be invited to INDIE Congress in L.A. this October to accept their award.

The Asbury was the shore town’s first new hotel in more than 50 years when it opened its doors in 2016. The property, a collaboration between design virtuoso Anda Andrei, innovative hotelier David Bowd, and real estate developer iStar, combines Asbury Park’s Victorian-era history, rock-n-roll present, and shiny future into a new kind of social hub. The Asbury boasts 110 beautiful guest rooms, hip common areas and bars, a rooftop garden, an outdoor cinema, a pool, and more.

The Hoxton, Paris

The Hoxton Paris opened in August 2017 and is Hoxton’s biggest yet with 172 rooms, two picturesque courtyards, Rivie restaraunt, Jacques’ Bar, and Les Voutes, a unique meeting and events space. Set in an 18th century hotel particulier, the magnificent building was built by architect Nicolas d’Orbay for Etienne Rivie, an advisor to Louis XV. More recently, it was converted into a clothing factory, then lay empty for 10 years, but after four years of construction, The Hoxton has brought it back to life – restoring many original design features of the building.

Stay Plastic Free is a campaign aimed at taking single use plastics out of the hotel industry. Using EDITION as ad industry standard, we will inspire and influence other hotels, hotel brands and individual properties to switch to cost effective non plastic alternatives. Under Ben’s initiative, EDITION plans to be single use plastic free by the end of 2018.
